There’s a new movie making the rounds called “Sound of Freedom” which claims to be based on a true story. As a reminder, the word “based” can do a lot of heavy lifting.
While the movie is apparently very compelling and emotionally powerful. It’s star, Jim Caviezel has ties to the QAnon movement. Without going into the details, Qanon is a dangerous conspiracy theory that has led to real life violence and killings. The film portrays similar tropes and lines of thought to Qanon, making it a more palatable introduction to the movement.
If you find Sound of Freedom compelling and want to fight against human trafficking, please take time to read about the agencies you’re considering supporting. If you hear or read the faintest hint of the following terms, you’re running into Qanon folks who are not basing their ideas in reality.
Words to raise your alarm bells from: Adrenochrome, elites, Q, Qanon, WWG1WGA, Where We Go One We Go All, great awakening, the storm, the storm is upon us, cabal, deep state, Trust The Plan/The plan, mole/tunnel children, satanic, pizzagate. The ADL link below has more terms.
Don’t trust me on this either. The folks who engage in anti-trafficking work are alarmed by Qanon and how it has made their legit work harder.
And if you want to see how the film ties to Qanon better, read this WaPo article.
And if you want to learn more about Q and how to avoid it, here’s the ADL’s site on the topic.
