You are likely finding yourself here because you want to know who exactly it is that you are getting information from. Good for you and I’m glad you are thinking critically.
My name is Ben Wentworth and my PhD research focused on personality factors that predict conspiracy thinking among college students. For the last decade, I have also done my best to help people critically analyze different belief systems and challenge our biases and preconceptions.
I am by no means the final, or even one of the final, experts on conspiracy theories, conspiracy thinking, or belief systems. Anyone claiming to be such should be carefully watched and heavily critiqued I think. So I encourage you to take everything I write here as something worth more exploration and thought, not the final word on the topic. Indeed, my goal here is not to teach you what to think, but how to think for yourself.
We will, and should, disagree on some things. But so long as we agree on certain things, we will be able to discuss and delve deeper into the world of ideas, beliefs, and conspiracy theories. So, if you are interested in thinking about thinking, and coming up with ways to be a little less wrong everyday, join me, and let’s get thinking.
